AC3Filter is a high quality free audio decoder and processor filter. It allows media players to playback movies with AC3 and DTS audio tracks. Also it can process any audio track, much of processing options allows to adjust the sound in almost any way. It is possible to upmix any audio source to 6 channels. Filter can do multi-channel and digital (SPDIF) output. It can encode any audio source to AC3 on-the-fly and send it over SPDIF to the receiver.

Xvid is a MPEG-4 video codec for PC. Its purpose is to compress video in order to allow for faster transmission over computer networks or for more efficient storage on computer disks. Hence, Xvid can somewhat be seen as a ZIP for video. Xvid removes information from video that is not important for human perception in order to achieve very high compression rates while still keeping very good visual quality. As an example: uncompressed digital video is huge and takes up about 100 GB HD space per hour at PAL resolution. The same video would require just 500 MB per hour when compressed with Xvid at high quality. So Xvid can compress video at ratios of 200:1 and more.

oggdropXPd :: is a drag-and-drop Ogg Vorbis encoder/decoder/ player for the eXPerienced user. Features include compression from lossless files (Monkeys Audio, LPAC, FLAC, WAVPACK and OptimFROG), auto-tagging, renaming of encoded files, setting of advanced encoder parameters, use of VorbisGain tags on decode, Playlist (.m3u) creation, and others. Version 1.8.7 introduced correct channel mapping for encoding of multi-channel (3 to 6 channels) files that conform to the WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE standard and provides the correct corresponding decoding and channel mapping in creating WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE conforming output wave files. Playback also supports multi-channel in the same way. A further option is added to downmix multi-channel to stereo for decoding to file, or playback. The multi-channel mapping conforms to the Vorbis.

AviSynth is a powerful tool for video post-production. It provides almost unlimited ways of editing and processing videos. AviSynth works as a frameserver, providing instant editing without the need for temporary files.

DGMPGDec is an MPEG decoder suite. It is used to decode MPEG1 or MPEG2 streams from such sources as DVD VOBs, captured transport streams, *.mpg/*.m2v/*.pva files, etc. Perhaps its most common use is in decoding VOBs from DVDs.
