Stunnel is a program that allows you to encrypt arbitrary TCP connections inside SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) available on both Unix and Windows. Stunnel can allow you to secure non-SSL aware daemons and protocols (like POP, IMAP, LDAP, etc) by having Stunnel provide the encryption, requiring no changes to the daemon's code.

Windows Privacy Tools (WinPT) is a collection of multilingual applications for digital encryption and signing of content. WinPT is GnuPG-based, compatible with OpenPGP compliant software (like PGP) and free for commercial and personal use under the GPL.

KeePass is an open-source password safe. Passwords can be stored in highly-encrypted databases, that can be unlocked with one master password or key file.

Password Safe is a password database utility. Users can keep their passwords securely encrypted on their computers. A single Safe Combination unlocks them all.

TrueCrypt is free open-source disk encryption software for Windows and Linux.

The Snare BackLog is a program that provides a central collection facility for a variety of log sources, including Snare Agents for Windows, Solaris, AIX, Irix, ISA Server, IIS Server, Lotus Notes (and others), plus any device capable of sending data to a syslog server.

The Snare BackLog is the 'little brother' of the InterSect Alliance 'Snare Server' appliance. The Snare Server provides a robust collection, analysis, reporting and archival environment, using a web-based interface, and database-based storage. The Snare BackLog contains only the basic 'collection' component, with no analysis capabilities, but should be useful for many individuals, or small organisations.

The SNARE BackLog is free software (freeware), released under the terms of the GNU Public Licence (GPL).

Snare for Lotus Notes has been deprecated, and is no longer under active development. API changes in the most recent version of Lotus Notes has made it very difficult to retain the agents functionality.

However, we have developed a more effective (and cross-version / cross-platform) method of retrieving the same information, by directly polling several notes databases via the Domino web server. This functionality has been integrated into our 'Snare Server' software. Unfortunately, the method we use, is not suitable for integration into a stand-alone agent.

Snare for Lotus Notes binaries, and source code, are available below, and should still be suitable for older versions of Lotus Notes.
